I’m Double Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner and I specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and medical conditions. I have worked in inpatient, crisis stabilization, and outpatient settings with children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics which has given me a unique breadth of experience.
I am licensed in Arizona to diagnose, provide therapy and education, and to prescribe medications for mental health and medical conditions. In my practice, I utilize a combination of psychiatric medication and therapy with a focus on solution focused therapy. For those that need more intensive psychotherapy/counseling, we have a network of therapists in the area and can refer out .

In my experience, not everyone needs medication, so I only utilize medications when they are necessary and appropriate. For those suffering from severe symptoms that are debilitating and affecting their functioning at school, work, or personal relationships, then the combination of medication and therapy is the best approach.
I believe that the patient is ultimately the expert in their own health and well-being, and my goal is to work together to come up with a treatment plan that is both evidence-based and in line with their values and goals.
